We do not feel many renovation and remodeling projects require a General Contractor and their markup!

If appropriate, we can enable you to be in charge of your project! With our consulting help, you are making all of the big decisions and saving 10 to 20 percent of the project cost and having far greater control.

We provide as much or as little help as you need.

Our contract always allows you to stop our hourly consulting at any time. We jointly define up front the level of support you think you want and you can add to or reduce that support at any time.

We encourage as much competitive bidding as possible.

As a result of our knowledge in defining bid packages and creating competitive situations, we always save you more than our total hourly fees.

We build Go/No-Go points into the Project Schedule.

When a project is canceled before work has begun because the Owner could clearly see they were getting in over their head, we consider that a success. Our Project Schedules always include budget reviews and key milestone review to make certain you know where your project is going.

You should target 8% to 12% of Total Project Cost as our fee.

Although every project is uniquely configured for the situation at hand, we suggest you budget 8% to 12% of the total cost to be our fee when complete. Some projects require more detailed support because of challenging situations and others need only high level support. We are comfortable with both cases.
